The Covington Volunteer Fire Department will be holding its annual Santa Run this year a little differently.
This Saturday, beginning at 11:45 a.m., the department will hold it’s annual Santa Run following a parade format.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Santa Claus will not be able to stop and visit children along the route, nor will he be able to hand out candy canes to children.
Families are encouraged to watch the Santa Run parade from the comfort of their front porches, maintaining proper social distancing.
Follow the “Covington Fire and Rescue Santa Run” page on Facebook for updates as the week progresses for route information.
Residents are reminded not to call 911 to ask about the Santa Run or Santa’s location.
Also, on the “Covington Fire and Rescue Santa Run” Facebook page, Santa will be reading the Christmas favorite “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
