Bath County Students Audition Virtually For All-District Band

HOT SPRINGS — Three Bath County High School band students recently auditioned virtually for All-District Band.
The students include Colby Lowry, Natalie White and Sadie Alphin.
Colby made seventh chair trumpet in the symphonic band, while Natalie made fifth chair flute, also with the symphonic band.
Sadie competed with a large number of alto sax entries and compiled an outstanding score for a freshman.
“With hard work during instruction, these students represented Bath well,” said Superintendent Sue Hirsh in recognizing these students during last
Tuesday’s Bath County School Board meeting.
A virtual All District Band concert is scheduled for February.
In other Good News in Bath County Schools last Tuesday night, the school board:
— recognized Jan. 24-30 as Virginia School Principal’s Week;
— recognized Feb. 1-5 as National School Counseling Week;
— recognized February as Virginia School Board Appreciation Month and Feb. 15-19 as School Board Clerk Appreciation Week;
— recognized the month of February as Career and Technical Education Month.
