The Covington Parks and Recreation will host a variety of fall-themed activities Saturday, Oct. 24.
The annual Pumpkins in the Park event, and the Mountain Magic Festival, will take place from 4-8 p.m. at the Jackson River Sport Complex.
The theme is “Fall in our Town.”
Activities will include a Trunk-or-Treat, sponsored by Kars Unlimited, beginning at 4 p.m. Also at 4 p.m., there will be pumpkin decorating.
A pumpkin-carving contest will also be held this year.
Participants may carve their pumpkins at home and then bring them to the event to be judged.
Judging will begin at 4 p.m., and winners will be announced at 5 p.m.
At 5 p.m., a costume contest for ages 2-12 will be held.
Judging will be held in several categories, including most original, spookiest, cutest, and funniest.
Also, the band Sixx Fold will be performing at the River Rock Amphitheatre.
