Washington, DC (VR) – On National Voter Registration Day, When We All Vote released a video message from When We All Vote Co-Chairs Michelle Obama, Chris Paul, Liza Koshy and Bretman Rock and Ambassador Jeannie Mai calling on Americans to get registered and ready to vote ahead of the midterm elections. In the video release, the group asks viewers to celebrate National Voter Registration Day by checking their voter registration status and ensuring their communities do the same.

This week, When We All Vote volunteers are hosting more than 150 voter registration events across the country as a part of the organization’s National Voter Registration Week of Action. The week launched yesterday with a virtual rally featuring Michelle Obama, Sherly Lee Ralph, Liza Koshy, Rita Wilson and more.

When We All Vote has reached more than 100 million people online, providing access to resources and information about voter registration, how to vote and what’s on the ballot. Voters can check their voter registration status, register to vote, find their polling place and more through When We All Vote’s Voter Resources Hub. In celebration of National Voter Registration Day, When We All Vote is calling on people to:

  • Check their voter registration status at whenweallvote.org (it only takes a few minutes)
  • Build their #VotingSquad by texting three friends or family members and asking them to check their voter registration status too.
  • Volunteer in their community by signing up to volunteer at weall.vote/nvwr

A full transcript of the video is included below.

To celebrate National Voter Registration Day, When We All Vote also launched the Voting Suits You campaign with Supermajority and Argent to inspire and encourage women to embrace their political power, suit up and register to vote this November. The nationwide voter education campaign will kick off with a pop-up store in New York City featuring the return of the iconic bright pink suit that sold out within 24 hours in 2020.

Bretman Rock: If we’re going to celebrate this day right, I need you to do these three things:

Chris Paul: First, head over to WhenWeAllVote.org to check your voter registration status.

Jeannie Mai Jenkins: It only takes a few minutes.

Liza Koshy: Go ahead, I’ll wait…

Jeannie Mai Jenkins: Number two, text three friends, three besties,

Mrs. Obama: And ask them to check their voter registration status too.

Bretman Rock: I’m talking to you mom.

Mrs. Obama: Third, get involved and volunteer with When We All Vote to help get your community registered and ready to vote.

Chris Paul: Because when we organize,

Jeannie Mai Jenkins: Mobilize,

Bretman Rock: Show up and vote,

Mrs. Obama: We can create a better future for us all.

Liza Koshy: That’s the one that I want to live in so… I’m gonna go check my voter registration status right now. Bye!
