Days before their big Pioneer District game with rival the Covington Cougars, the Bath County Chargers lost on the road in district action against the Narrows Green Wave in straight sets.
Despite a big performance from Laken Tingler who put together team-highs in kills with seven and a team-high in digs with 19, along with five assists, her effort wasn’t enough for the Chargers to get past the Green Wave on Thursday night.
After dropping the first set 15-25, the Chargers fought back in the second set, but lost 15-29.
In the final set, the Chargers fell behind early, but rallied to eventually force a tiebreaker at 24-24. The Green Wave would score the next two points and ending the comeback for the Chargers.
