Interstate 81 is blocked at the 164 mile marker with an overturned tractor trailer. This occurred at 1:25 a.m. A tractor trailer carrying diesel fuel overturned in the median. The truck lost approximately 500 gallons of its load. HAZMAT is offloading the fuel before the truck can be removed. A detour has been set up by VDOT at exit 162 and re-enters at the 167. There were no injuries in the crash.

The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation is also processing the scene of an officer involved shooting which occurred last night on Elm Street in the City of Roanoke. There were no injuries in the incident, however, investigators are processing the scene for evidence. An arrest has been made and more information will follow when it can be released.
