Angela “Choo” Yvonne Catlett, age 58, of Covington, died Friday, December 24, 2021, at her residence.
Ms. Catlett was born May 26, 1963 in Covington, the daughter of David and Miriam Catlett. Angela was an employee for Kroger for more than 30 years, before that she was an operator for Clifton Forge-Waynesboro Telephone Company. She was a lover of all animals, enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Angie was always the first one to give to others and she was very generous with a huge kind heart.
In addition to her parents, Angela is survived by her brother, David Catlett, Jr., of Covington; her sister, Susan Catlett Elmore and husband, Mark of Clifton Forge; nieces, Kelsey Tolley of Covington, Kaylee Elmore of Clifton Forge, Brielle Tolley of Covington and Callie Sweeney of Richmond; nephews, Richard Hoke of Minnesota, Christopher Hoke of Covington, Patrick Hoke of Alabama, Hayden Catlett and wife, Sarah of Radford, Wyatt Tolley of Covington, and Joshua Elmore of Covington; a number of great nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, “Pup-Pup”.
Ms. Catlett was preceded in death by her aunt, Linda Frame; two dogs, Joey and Ellie; and her two cats, Tom and Jerry.
A private graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Chris Fisher officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chris Hoke, Hayden Catlett, Allen Cook, Henry Redman and Jay Mattox.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to The Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Rich Patch Road, Covington, VA, 24426.
