Today’s Headline: Dedication Of First Brethren Church Tomorrow.
The members of the First Brethren Church will see their efforts rewarded tomorrow afternoon when the new Brethren Church Parrish Court will be publically dedicated to its purpose.
The new church is a 35×60 frame structure with a basement for the Sunday School rooms.
Dr. E.R. Rogers, head of the Boys’ Home, one mile west of Covington, lost one of his boys late yesterday afternoon and so informed the police asking them to be on the lookout for the youngster.

Today’s Headline: Stock Sale Will Start In Proposal For Country Club.
The sale of a minimum of 200 shares in a proposed new country club at $300 per share and the recruitment of at least 200 members would be asked to pay dues of $10 per month, is the goal of the Country Club Steering Committee organized last night.
Baton twirling classes held at Edgemont School for the past three weeks have been canceled due to lack of interest among area residents.

Today’s Headline: Covington Rescue Squad Holds Annual Banquet.
Alan Brie, a four-year veteran of the Covington Rescue Squad, has been named the Rescue Squadsman of the Year for the third consecutive year.
The award was presented by Squad Captain Jim Downer and Squad President Robert McCallister Saturday evening during the annual banquet.
