RICHMOND – Peggy S. Herald, 95, of Richmond and Clifton Forge, passed away April 16, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Herald; and is survived by her children, Elaine H. Tsamouras, William B. Herald, Georgia H. Morris and G. Thomas Herald; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Herald was a member of Philoptochos Society of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She was a Past Worthy Matron of Clifton Forge Eastern Star.
She was very active in local garden clubs and was a member of the Alleghany Highlands Art Center. Peggy was especially known for her hand-made clowns and dolls. She enjoyed many friendships at Our Lady of Hope and the family would like to thank the staff for their wonderful care.
A Trisagion prayer service was held on Monday. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. today at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Interment will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge.
