CLIFTON FORGE, VA (VR) – The S.T.A.R.S. (Special Theatrical Artists Revue Showcase) will perform at the Historic Masonic Theatre on Sunday, August 30, at 3 p.m.

The group’s 23 performers will celebrate their 30th anniversary year with a variety of “Endless Summer” songs that hold special meaning for the group and its individual members.

When S.T.A.R.S. began performing in 1996, there were only a handful of singers. Over the years, the group has grown to include as many as 30 performers in a show. Singers select their own individual songs, while group numbers, dancing and other fun elements are added to the performances.

The group includes singers from Alleghany and Bath counties, as well as a young performer from Rockbridge County. S.T.A.R.S. performs three shows each year and is occasionally invited to perform at other community events.

The upcoming show will feature beach music, breezy summertime songs, country, a little rock and roll, rap, contemporary Christian music, dancing and a few surprises. Emcee this show, Larry Hipes. Directed by Paula Crance.

Come spend a Sunday afternoon enjoying good music and good friends while singing and dancing along with these talented performers. S.T.A.R.S. demonstrates that there is no disability when it comes to the joy and power of music.
