COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Two Alleghany Cougars earned recognition on the All-Region 3C baseball team following the 2026 season.

Recent Graduates Kai Rowland was selected as a First Team Outfielder, while Brady May earned Second Team honors at catcher.

In a Facebook post Friday morning, Alleghany head coach Ryan Kessinger praised both players for their accomplishments in one of Virginia’s toughest baseball regions.

“Region 3C is one of the most competitive baseball regions in Virginia, loaded with outstanding players and multiple Division I commits,” Kessinger said. “Earning All-Region recognition in a field this talented is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment these young men have shown throughout the season and off-season.”

Kessinger said the program is proud of the way Rowland and May represented Alleghany throughout the year.

“We are incredibly proud of each of them for representing our program, school and community with class,” Kessinger said. “Their success is well-deserved, and we appreciate the standard these young men have exemplified.”
