The Shadow
CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Highlands community is coming together to support two young boys facing a long road to recovery following a serious car accident.
Cliftondale Country Club will host a benefit golf tournament on Sunday, November 15, with all proceeds going directly to the boys and their families to help cover medical expenses, living costs and other financial needs during their recovery.
Both boys suffered severe injuries in the accident. Their recoveries are expected to take considerable time, placing emotional and financial strains on both families.
The tournament will feature a four-person captain’s choice format, with an entry fee of $35 per golfer. The starting time will depend on frost conditions that morning.
Organizers are encouraging golfers throughout the Alleghany Highlands and surrounding communities to put together teams and participate in the fundraiser. Every dollar raised will go toward helping the families manage expenses as the boys continue receiving medical care.
