LEXINGTON — Families with children starting school in 2019 can get a free kit from the Rockbridge Regional Library System to help them prepare.
The kit contains learning games and activities to master basic skills such as alphabet, number, color and shape recognition. Activities in the kit are designed for caregivers and children to enjoy together.
Children enrolled in Head Start and Rockbridge County pre-K will receive a free kindergarten kit when they graduate in May. Kits are also available at all branches of the Rockbridge Regional Library System.
Look for the Bookmobile during “A Day in K” at Hull’s Drive-In on April 25, where the library will also have free Kindergarten kits available.

The Lexington Branch of Rockbridge Regional Library System is open Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday 1 – 5 p.m. Visit the library online at www.rrlib.net.
