SALEM, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany varsity volleyball team traveled to Salem Saturday and picked up two match victories, dropping just one set on the day.
In the first match against Magna Vista, the Cougars won the opening set 29-27 and followed with a 25-17 victory. Magna Vista took the third set 25-20, but Alleghany closed out the match with a 27-25 win.
Alleghany then faced Salem in the second match and completed the sweep. The Cougars won 27-25 in the opening set, followed with a 25-14 victory and finished the match with a 25-22 win.
