RICHMOND, Va. (VR)— Looking for a career that makes a real difference? The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) invites job seekers to the DMV Job Fair and Agency Showcase on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at its Richmond Headquarters. This dynamic, in-person event offers a behind-the-scenes look at how DMV is transforming public service and how you can be a part of it.

Connect face-to-face with leaders and hiring teams from more than a dozen DMV departments, including customer service, IT, and law enforcement. With full- and part-time positions available across headquarters and 76 customer service centers statewide, DMV is hiring professionals at every career stage—from entry-level to experienced leaders.

DMV is redefining what government service looks like. Beyond licenses and registrations, DMV leads nationally recognized highway safety initiatives, delivers innovative digital services like Virginia Mobile ID, and continuously improves how millions of Virginians access essential services while helping save lives every day.

“We’re not just filling jobs—we’re building career pathways,” said DMV Commissioner Gerald Lackey. “At DMV, employees have the opportunity to grow, lead, and serve in meaningful roles that make a real impact for the Commonwealth.”

DMV offers a supportive workplace where employees can thrive, with competitive benefits, strong work-life balance, professional development, and clear pathways for advancement. That commitment has earned the agency national and international recognition for customer service, business transformation, and honors from TIME magazine and Popular Science for its technical innovations.

Event Information:

  • Date: Wednesday, January 21, 2026
  • Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Location: DMV Richmond Headquarters
    2300 W Broad Street
    Richmond, VA 23269

Job seekers can explore open DMV positions on the Virginia Jobs website, where each listing includes detailed information about responsibilities, qualifications, and benefits.
