CLIFTON FORGE Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Cruisers and the Chesapeake & Ohio Historical Society are teaming up for another great local event in the Alleghany Highlands. The Holiday Expo and Cruise in at the Depot will be held Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the C&O Railway Heritage Center and the Clifton Forge Armory in Clifton Forge.

The Cruise in at the Depot will be a car show open to all types of vehicles. Registration will begin at 9:00 am and the cost will be $20.00. The registration cost not only covers the car show but also admission to all exhibits in the C&O Heritage Center.

“The Alleghany Cruisers are looking forward to this new venture with our friends in the C&O Historical Society.” : said Alleghany Cruisers President Robert Floyd. “This organization does a lot of wonderful things in the community and we are excited to be hosting our season finale with them. Cars, trains, and Christmas, what is not to like?”

The car show will feature a live D.J., door prizes, goodie bags, dash plaques, and a Chinese auction. Food service will be provided by the Clifton Forge Little League. All exhibits at the C&O Heritage Center will be open, including the Little C&O Railway. The Chessie Store will also be open for all of your holiday shopping needs.

In addition to the car show, the Holiday Expo will be held at the Clifton Forge Armory, featuring many vendors selling assorted merchandise. Love All BBQ will be set up at the Armory, providing food service.

Admission for the general public is only $8.00 or $5.00 for a new, unwrapped toy. Admission covers entry to both event venues and the C&O Heritage Center. All proceeds raised from this event go towards the C&O Railway Historical Society.

For more information, contact Robert Floyd at 540-691-4626 or the C&OHS at 540-862-2210 or visit www.alleghanycruisers.com
