LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) – At the conclusion of closed session on Monday, July 21, 2025, the School Board took the following personnel action:

The School Board approved the appointments of Estelle M. Scott; and Lisa B. Morris; both as Full Time Food Service Workers; both at Alleghany High School. Christopher E. Linsen was approved at History Teacher; Emileigh M. Southall as Paraprofessional/SPED; and Christie D. Jordan as Part Time Food Service Worker; all at Covington Middle School. The School Board also approved Kayla D. Bess; and Aysha M. Gibson; both as Paraprofessional/SPED; and Courtney M. Jesser as Instructional Technology Resource Teacher; all at Jeter-Watson Elementary School. Also approved was Elena L. Reed as Elementary Teacher; Tessa R. Armstrong as Paraprofessional; and Bonita G. Huffman as Part Time Food Service Worker; all at Mountain View Elementary School. The School Board also approved Hope N. Arthur as Elementary Teacher; and Lindsey R. Owens as Part Time Food Service Worker; both at Sharon Elementary School.

In Extra-Curricular activities the School Board approved Abigail L. Perkins as Volunteer Athletic Trainer.

The School Board accepted the resignations of Adriene C. Barbosa; Paraprofessional/SPED at Jeter-Watson Elementary School; Deanne K. Helmintoller; Paraprofessional at Mountain View Elementary School; Tanya M. Woods; Paraprofessional/SPED at Callaghan Elementary School; Mark A. Lythgoe; Bus Driver at Bus Garage; and Melissa J. Walker; Custodian at Covington Middle School.
