BLACKSBURG, VA (VR) – Olde Town Covington, Inc. was recognized in three different categories by Virginia Main Street at a luncheon June 10, 2026.
The awards were accepted on behalf of Olde Town Covington, Inc. by Executive Director Kester Dingus at the Virginia Economic Development Association Summer Membership meeting held at The Inn at Virginia Tech & Skelton Conference Center.
Olde Town Covington, Inc. received awards for Volunteer Hours, Private Investment and Building Improvements.
A total of forty-five awards were given to various Virginia Main Street communities across Virginia.
“It is very energizing to be recognized for the behind the scenes work Olde Town Covington has been doing” said Executive Director Kester Dingus. “OTC follows the Main Street Approach that is centered around transformation strategies that articulates a focused, deliberate path to revitalizing a downtown.”
The awards were presented by Courtney Mailey, Virginia Main Street State Coordinator and Program Manager Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD)
