Betty Lewis Snyder Rogers

Betty Lewis Snyder Rogers, age 89, of Covington, died Friday, June 5, 2025, at her residence.

Betty was born, January 26, 1936, in Sweet Chalybeate, and was preceded in death by her parents, the late John and Dorothy Snyder; her husband, Bobby Dean Rogers; two sisters, Minnie S. Rose and Armilda Bradley; two brothers, Donald R. Snyder and Gene N. Snyder.

She leaves to mourn her loss, four daughters, Susan G. Rogers of San Antonio, Texas, Patricia R. Helmick and husband Wayne of Rapid City, SD, Teresa R. Knick and husband Willie of Covington, Sandra R. Issigonis and husband John of Clayton, NC; seven grandchildren, Kylene R. Hayslett, Heidi K. Walls, Tamra M. Knick, Anastasia R., Avery M., Alexa M., Aidan P. Issigonis; one great-granddaughter, Reagan D. Walls and numerous family members.

Betty adored traveling with her daughters, capturing every moment, and immersing herself in history and reading. A devoted Mamaw and great-Mamaw, she cherished her family deeply, especially her siblings. She also found joy in bowling. She was a faithful member of Johnson Creek ARP Church.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating. The family will receive friends from 12PM until the time of service.

Interment will follow at the Johnson Creek ARP Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Jackie Smith, Randi Snyder, Andy Snyder, Charles Bradley, Timothy Rose, and Kenny Rogers.

A light reception at Johnson Creek ARP church will follow after the interment at the cemetery.

Arritt Funeral Home is in charge of Mrs. Roger’s arrangements.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Tracey and Amber of Connections Plus for their wonderful care of Betty and their kindness shown to the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Connections Plus, 315 Myers Street, Lexington, VA 24450 or Johnsons Creek ARP Church, 4804 Johnsons Creek Road, Covington, VA 24426.
