Please vote for the Virginian Review Alleghany ‘Football Friday’ Player of the Week for week 5. Three players from just Alleghany are nominated as Bath County’s game was cancelled due to the severe storms. We will take the top vote getter and announce the winner on Monday night (time may vary week-to-week). Voting closes Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at 9:00 PM.

Alleghany (defeated Radford 27-9):

Des Jordan: 12-for-16 on pass attempts with 177 yds in the air and a TD pass–15 carries for 70 yds and a rush score. Jordan was also trouble for Radford on defense with an interception.

Carter Nicely: 22 carries for 230 yds, including a 61-yd rushing score.

Xzavier Hayslett: 4 receptions for 83 yds, including a 32-yd TD reception.
