WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – Theodore John Baldwin, 78, of White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at his home on Mill Hill Drive, after an apparent heart attack.
Born Dec, 21, 1931, in Roderfield, W.Va., he was a son of the late Owen and Marilda Sparks Baldwin.
Mr. Baldwin was of the Baptist faith. He was a Korean War veteran, a retired coal miner, and a golf caddy at The Greenbrier for several years.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Baldwin.
Survivors include his wife of more than 50 years, Edith Grey Lynch Baldwin at home; one nephew, Paul (Sabrena) Baldwin of Roanoke; and several other nieces and nephews. He is also survived by one great- niece; one great-nephew and many good neighbors who shared in caregiving for him and his wife.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg,W.Va.
Visitation will be Friday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
