Phyllis Jones Crizer, 73, of 401 Corner Drive died this morning, Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at The Woodlands Nursing Home in Clifton Forge.
Mrs. Crizer was born Feb. 28, 1936, in Covington a daughter of the late Wilbur Moody Jones and Betty Smith Jones.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Vass and Wanda Jones; and also by three brothers, Charles Jones, Harold Jones and Kenneth Jones.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, John R. Crizer of Covington; her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tim Bradley of Covington; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Roberta Crizer of Covington; five grandchildren, Michael and Amy Crizer of Durham, N.C., Matthew Crizer of Salem, Seth Bradley, Hannah Bradley and Luke Bradley all of Covington; two sisters, Louise Jones of Clifton Forge ,and Peggy McDowell of Chesapeake; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Price officiating. Interment will be in Alleghany Memorial Park.
Friends may pay their respects at any time at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
