Judith “Judy” Ann (Perrine) Wade

Judith “Judy” Ann (Perrine) Wade, 82, of Waynesboro, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at The Spring’s Nursing Center in Hot Springs. She was born in Richwood, WV on October 2, 1941, the daughter of the late Howard Homer Perrine and Iva (Boone) Perrine Bays.

Judy graduated from Waynesboro High School and Greenbrier Junior College. She worked from 1972 until 2002 as an office administrator with CFW. Judy was a former member of McAllister Presbyterian Church in Covington and Hermitage Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro.  She enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing cards, and being with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Abbott Wade; three brothers, and a sister.

Survivors include her son, Michael Wade and wife, Jackie; two grandchildren, Evan and Maddie Wade; sister, Kathy D’Ambrosio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 A funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Hermitage Presbyterian Church, 46 Hildebrand Church Rd, Waynesboro, VA, with Rev. Jaci  Smith Patman officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park. Services will be live-streamed through the church’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/hermitageva.

Active pallbearers will be Bill Ray Perrine, JB Perrine, David Howard, Kevin Perrine, Philip Perrine, and Chip Perrine.

Honorary pallbearer will be David Wade.

There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Judy’s memory to The Spring’s Nursing Center, 167 Springs St, Hot Springs, VA 24445.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at The Spring’s Nursing Center and Augusta Health for their loving care of Judy and her family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home.
