The Virginian Review and ECENT Corporation is excited to announce that Shannon Hogan will be serving as Director of Sales and Marketing starting on October 9th, 2023.
Shannon brings more than 20 years of experience in advertising, marketing, journalism, media coordinating, and management to The Virginian Review and ECENT Corporation.
While serving as Senior Advertising Executive, Shannon played key roles in shaping one of Southwest Virginia’s premier arts and culture monthlies, City Magazine, as well as two affiliate publications, Visions: Southwest Virginia’s premiere art magazine and Flavours: Southwest Virginia’s premiere fine dining magazine. As senior advertising executive, Shannon directed production of all non-camera ready ads and scouted locations for various photo shoots, in addition to collaborating with sales, graphic arts, media, and financial departments.
These assets served Shannon well in subsequent endeavors as Account Executive for Centennial Broadcasting and later as Media Campaign Coordinator for PETA. Whether she was generating media coverage for advertising campaigns, penning attention-getting press releases or developing strategies for sales and account growth, it was here she further honed her aptitude for nonprofit branding and fund-raising.
Shannon will be a key member of The Virginian Review and ECENT Corporation, overseeing sales, marketing, branding, advertising, and public relations strategies. Her primary duties will include developing the structure of the marketing department, developing marketing campaigns in partnership with community leaders, develop advertising strategies for account growth by selling specialty sections within the paper for related editorial calendars, as well as selling advertising space for local and surrounding area businesses.
We are pleased to welcome aboard Shannon Hogan to The Virginian Review and ECENT Corporation.
