HIGHLAND COUNTY, Va. – Virginia State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash, which resulted in a fatality. The crash occurred Thursday, (Sept 7) at 4:59 a.m. on Route 220, one half of a mile south of Route 625 in Highland County.
A 2023 Kenworth tractor trailer was traveling north on Route 220 and attempted to turn around and became disabled, blocking the roadway. A 2008 Honda CBR motorcycle struck the disabled tractor trailer in the roadway.
The driver of the Honda was identified as Sean William Weeks, 33, of Monterey Va. Mr. Weeks was wearing his helmet and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
