Dear Editor,
I am writing today to complain about the recent Senior Fishing Day.
I planned on attending and was actually looking forward to it. I didn’t realize it was being held on a Friday. I don’t understand why it was held on a weekday. I know Cork and Pork was held that weekend and if that’s what the problem was it should have been rescheduled.
Most seniors in this area, including me, have to work to make ends meet. There is not much to do in this area anyway.
I hope that next year Alleghany Parks and Recreation schedules this event on a Saturday so all seniors can attend.
