Harold Eugene Craft, age 75, of Covington, Virginia died Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor after a courageous six year long battle with lung cancer.
He was born March 22, 1945 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Robert Elmo Craft, Sr. and Willie Eugene Roberts Craft.  
He was a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service with 31 years of service.  He served in the Virginia National Guard for 14 years and was a member of Kaiser Memorial Presbyterian Church.  He especially loved his family, but also enjoyed gardening, bird feeding, history and watching Star Trek.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lillie Eloise Irvine and a brother, Robert E. Craft, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Wilmer Craft of Covington; a son, Gavin Dressler of Covington; a step son, Randy Dressler and wife Allison of Newport News; a brother, John Craft of Clifton Forge; two grandchildren, Nicholas Dressler and Emma Dressler; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Eric Burger of Clifton Forge.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 2:00 PM in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Bill Hartsfield officiating.  
Interment will immediately follow.  
There will be no visitation, but friends may call anytime at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
Nicely Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, 14600 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC  27513.
