The Clifton Forge Woman’s Club March 6, meeting, President Jenny Oeltjen introduced guest speaker, Michele Kenny. The program for the evening was “New Business in Town” Hamilton Roots owned by Michele Kenny.
As a native of Alleghany County, Michele Kenny resides in Clifton Forge with her husband and two sons, she works in the lab at Bath County. Michele also has a passion and love for plants. During COVID, on April 2022, this hobby led her and her husband to open Hamilton Roots Garden Center & Plants. Their business is located on 521 East Ridgeway Street in Clifton Forge. Her demonstration showed her love for all types of philodendron plants and assured us they were easy to take care of and grow. Her shop is open on Tuesday and Friday from 4:30-pm 7pm and Saturday 10am-3pm. Michele’s program was very informative and taught us a lot about the care for plants.
