FINCASTLE — Ramon Blair Deisher Sr., 75, of 554 Ruby Road, Fincastle, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was born April 6, 1945, in Clifton Forge, to the late Jesse Augusta Deisher Sr. and Bernice Blair Simmons Deisher. 
He loved to fish, hunt and raising and training beagles. 
He was founder and president of the North Mountain Beagle Club for a number of years. 
He was a former employee at Westvaco paper mill for a number of years and was retired from United Parcel Service with 25 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Brenda Johnson Deisher of Fincastle; a son, Ramon “Ray” Deisher Jr. and wife Ann; a stepdaughter, Crystal Bowen of Low Moor; a stepson, Paul Blankenship and wife April of Summersville, W.Va.; a brother, Jesse Deisher Jr. and wife Reva; a sister, Judy Coleman, both of Clifton Forge; two grandchildren, Ethan Deisher and Emily Deisher; three stepgrandchildren, Justin Bowen, Holly Blankenship and Zachary Blankenship and wife Kailah; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Kaison and Kalissa Blankenship; two nieces, Candice M. Deisher and Deborah Coleman; and one great-nephew, Christian Dew.
A private entombment will be held in the Mausoleum of Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor.
Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.
