              At the Big Red Invitational this past Saturday at Riverheads High School, the Alleghany Mountaineers out of 10 schools finished sixth overall.

              As a team, the Mountaineers finished with a team score of 105.

              The host, Riverheads Gladiators were the team winners with a score of 223.5.

              The Mountaineers had two third place finishes with Dontae Miller in the 144 weight class and Carter Nicely in the 157. Miller and Nicely each were 2-1.

              Up next for the Mountaineers in the Class 2, Region C Championships. Regionals will be held at James River High School on Saturday, February 11th.
