On Tuesday, the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (10-8, 6-2) pulled out a huge home Pioneer District victory over the Covington Cougars (10-5, 5-2) 67-56.
The Fighting Blues finished with four players reaching double figures to lead the team to victory.
John Snider IV, led all scorers with a game-high 21 points, while Landon Catlett scored 18. Braedyn Houck added 11, and Evan Cook chipped in with 10.
The Cougars were led by Jayden Sammons who scored a team-high 14 points. Sammons was one of three Cougars to score in double figures as Purcel Turner dropped in 12, and Dylan Williams had 11.
The loss dropped the Cougars to just half a game behind the Fighting Blues in the district for second place. Narrows currently is in first place with a 9-0 district record.
These two teams will meet again on February 9th at the Cougar Den.
The Cougars are off until Monday where they are on the road against North Cross.

The Cougars 10th victory of the season came on Monday when they defeated the Boys Home Hilltoppers (2-10) for the third time following a 58-33 victory.
Smith led the Cougars in scoring with a team-high 13 points, while Turner finished second in scoring for the team with 10.
The Hilltoppers were led by Ephy Morris who scored a game-high 15 points.
