In the late afternoon of May 6, Mountain View Elementary School was the cite of much activity and fun for all area students at the MVES Summer Blowout. In spite of an ominous weather report that moved the activity indoors, numerous activities provided much fun for all.
Each student attending received 20 free tickets that enabled participation in numerous carnival games and inflatables including the “moon walk” and “mechanical bull.” Perhaps the activity providing the fun for spectators was the dunking booth that featured school personnel, Assistant Principal Mr. Devon Nicely and School Superintendent Kim Halterman.
The success of the Summer Blowout was due not only to MVES but to ALCOVA and numerous other sponsors including the Sharon Ruritan Club. Because of the community involvement and sponsor support, in addition to such a large turnout of participants, MVES may be able to continue the Summer Blowout as an annual event.
