On Monday, the Bath County Chargers varsity boys soccer team clinched the Pioneer District regular season championship following a 3-2 victory over the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs.
The Chargers were led by Andrew Turner, Kamoy Stone, and Caiden Offer, whom each provided the team with a goal.
The defense played as tight of a game as possible despite giving up two goals. The Chargers had 17 steals in the win. Freshman, Braiden Made, led all with four steals, while Noah Harmon and Kyle Reed each had three steals each.
Charger sophomore goalkeeper, Frankie DeBoe, finished the game with nine saves.
Alexander Elkins and Aung Soe, each had a goal for the Mustangs.

In the Chargers Pioneer District tournament semifinals matchup with the Craig County Rockets, the Chargers cruised to a 5-1 victory.
The Chargers jumped out ahead early in the first half by taking a two goal lead before adding three more in the second half.
Stone, dominated the field in the Chargers semifinals victory by scoring and matching a season-high four goals. Stone has scored four goals in four different games this season. Meanwhile, Lyric Altizer, added a goal for the Chargers.
It was another strong defensive effort from the Chargers who collected 20 steals in the win, It was Stone once again leading the way, as he picked a game-high five steals. Harmon, Made, Blayton Loudermilk, and Kyle Reed, each had three steals.
The Rockets were able to get one goal in on DeBoe, but that was all they could grab as DeBoe was a nightmare on the goalpost for the Rockets as he pulled in 11 saves.
The Chargers now head to the district tournament championship against the Mustangs today at 6:00 p.m.
