Daniel Rock, an Alleghany County man, was sentenced in Alleghany County Circuit Court to three mandatory life terms and 20 years in prison for sexual battery of a child.
In October of 2021, Rock was found guilty of three counts of sodomy of a child under the age of 13.
Also, the jury found him guilty of two counts of aggravated sexual battery.
According to Commonwealth Attorney Ann Gardner, the victim’s testimony at Rock’s trial was supported by DNA evidence.
Gardner reported that the life sentences were rendered following Deputy Commonwealth Attorney Shaun Mabry read a quote from Rock’s victim in which she gave a detailed account of Rock’s crimes against her and the negative impact that his crimes have had upon her life.
