The Richmond Spiders football team ended their season on Saturday with a 20-17 victory over William & Mary in the Capital Cup Game.
It marks the first time since 1988, that the University of Richmond football team, has the overall lead at 64-63-5.
The game is also known as “The South’s Oldest Rivalry”.
Covington High School alum and University of Richmond graduate senior, Tyler Dressler, was named the Most Valuable Performer in the game as he led the defense with 11 tackles.
For the season, Dressler finished the year with 92 total tackles.
The Spiders who were 2-0 to start the season, lost five games in a row, before ending the season with a four game winning streak and an overall record of 6-5.
