The Shadow
COVINGTON — Hundreds of children and families filled Main Street Friday evening for the 2026 Covington Parks and Recreation Hometown Halloween celebration.
Costumes of all kinds could be seen throughout downtown, from superheroes and princesses to ghosts and other creative outfits. One of the more memorable costumes belonged to Isaac Griffin, who showed up dressed as Colonel Sanders, complete with a live chicken. There was plenty of candy to go around as children made their way along Main Street, filling their bags with treats.
Laughter, smiles and Halloween excitement filled downtown Covington as families enjoyed another year of the popular community tradition.
