The Bath County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their “Annual Pig Roast” on Saturday, August 28 in Hot Springs.
The event, which will begin at 2:00 p.m., will be held on the lawn across from the Fire Department and Rescue Squad, located at 2670 Main Street in Hot Springs.
The Chamber of Commerce promises “Fun for the whole Family!”
The Pig Roast will feature live musical performances from local singer/songwriter and multi-instrument musician Shawn Benfield, as well as Bath County-based bluegrass-band Southern Rail Express.
For the younger attendees, there will be cotton candy, face painting and a bounce house available. And for the adults, activities will include a mechanical bull and a watermelon-eating competition.
A new addition to this year’s festivities will be a “barbeque sauce competition.”
As in year’s past, Sweet Baby Ray’s barbeque sauce will be available. However, homemade barbeque sauces from four different contest participants will be available to enjoy. After diner, desert will be provided courtesy of the Omni Homestead.
