COVINGTON, Va. (VA) – The 2026 Alleghany High School FFA Farm Fest, hosted by Covington Parks and Recreation, was held Saturday at the Jackson River Sports Complex.
The event featured cows, chickens, horses, oxen and other animals, giving attendees an opportunity to learn about agriculture while also getting a chance to touch and feed the animals.
The JRTC carpentry class was on hand selling items made by students, while the FFA also offered items for sale. Several vendors were also set up throughout the event with handmade goods.
The day’s highlight was the tractor parade, which made its way around the sports complex while handing out candy to attendees.
