Covington City Council candidates David Goff, Milton Helton and Michael Green answered questions about employment, housing and efforts to keep younger residents from leaving the area. Johnathan Arritt served as moderator.

JRTC HOSA Nurse Aide Students to Host Blood Drive October 14

COVINGTON, Va. (VR) –  JRTC HOSA Nurse Aide students will host a blood drive Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Jackson River Technical Center, located at 105 Country Club Lane in Covington.

Students, staff and community members are invited to donate. Student donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 with parent permission.

Donors are encouraged to eat and drink before donating and should avoid aspirin or aspirin-containing medications for 48 hours before the donation.

Those who donate will receive a $15 e-gift card.
