Lizabeth Scott “Scottie” Brinkley, 46, of 471 Forestry Road, Hot Springs, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Bath Community Hospital in Hot Springs.
She was born April 9, 1965 in Hot Springs, the daughter of the late Alvin Lee Brinkley and Madeline Baldwin Brinkley.
She was formerly employed with Lear Corporation and the Homestead Resort.
Scottie enjoyed fishing, camping and going for rides. She was a fun loving person who enjoyed life. She had a big heart and was a friend to everybody.
She is survived by a brother, Dewey Brinkley and wife Alma of La-Porte, Texas; six sisters, Phyllis Carter and husband Jimmy of Gastonia, N.C., Linda Holsinger and husband Mike of Strasburg, Mary Sue Smith and husband Eddie of Falling Springs, Crystal Brinkley of Woodstock, Debbie Kaye Brinkley of Hot Springs, and Tina Marie Cote and husband Mark of Blacksburg; a special aunt, Thelma B. Rodgers of Hot Springs; special friend, Carl Cleek of Hot Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with Pastors Steve Shaver and John Klink officiating. Interment will be in Warm Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ralph May, Jay Phillips, Jason Stokes, Justin Smith, Dale Kershner, Carl McCune, Kenny Phillips, Mark Roller.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at McLaughlin and Young Funeral Home or anytime at the home of Scottie on 471 Forestry Road.
