The Curtis A. Smith Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1033 and Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor an American Red Cross Bloodmobile Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church Family Life Center in Covington.
Tuesday’s Bloodmobile is a special blood drive to target Type O blood, though all blood types will be accepted.
A goal of 45 units has been set, and those who donated at the July 5 Bloodmobile in Covington will not be eligible.
Free t-shirts will be offered to all presenting donors.
“Right now, the American Red Cross is on a national appeal for all blood types,” said Austin Rehfield, donor account manager for the Red Cross Appalachian Region Blood Services.
“We need people more than ever to roll up their sleeves and give blood.”
