Today’s Headline: Collision Sends One To Hospital.
A 63-year-old Covington woman received deep head laceration this morning in a two-car accident on the Hawthorne Street bridge.
The woman, Mrs. R.H. Ford, was a passenger in a car driven by her son, Ryland Harrison Ford, 36, of 207 Holly Street, Covington.
She was rushed to the Alleghany Memorial Hospital by the Covingon First Aid Squad.

Today’s Headline: Art Club To Open In Selma.
A new art club will open in the former location of Kiddie Corner in Selma.
The club will offer painting, sculpture and art for now, but plans to offer music and dance in the future.
The Clifton Forge-East Alleghany unit of the American Cancer Society will sponsor a program called “Taking Control” June 26 at 7 p.m. at Alleghany Regional Hospital.

Replacement of the Main Street Bridge in Clifton Forge has been removed from the Commonwealth Transportation Board’s six-year improvement program for 2007-12.
