A group of approximately 100 Dolly Ann C.C.C. boys last night heard Dr. M.G. Marsh speak at the camp. The talk with sponsored by the Kiwanis district committee on vocational guidance.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Noffsinger, who were guests of Mr. and Mrs. D.B. Landis for several days, have returned to their home in Roanoke.

The Covington Council for Weekday Religious Education in the public schools announced today that its 22nd annual campaign for funds will begin Sunday, May 7.
The 35th annual Woman’s Day will be observed at First Baptist Church tomorrow, Sunday, April 23.

A grief recovery group under the direction of Dr. Marvin E. Jacobs is being formed to serve people in the Alleghany Highlands who have recently lost loved ones to death.
The Jackson River Garden Club met April 8 at Granbery Church.

Former Covington resident Mitchell L. Angell has published his first novel. He made an appearance at the Book Keeper to sign copies of “The Victorian Ghost.”
The city of Covington has recognized Bobby Nida on his retirement after more than 46 years with the Public Works Department.
