Today’s Headline: Naturally Seek And At Clifton Forge.
A telephone call from the Covington Motor Co. at 10:10 last night asked the Clifton Forge police to be on the lookout for a Ford V-8 coupe which had been stolen 10 minutes earlier.
There were no license plates on the car according to the report.
The Clifton Forge officers had been unable to discover any trace of the machine this morning. The car is one of a half dozen Covington automobiles which have recently been reported stolen.

Today’s Headline: Council Approved Lighting Proposal.
The Clifton Forge City Council held a special meeting last night in the courthouse and first on the agenda was to consider a proposal on the proposed installation of light at Ingalls Airport.
A letter from R.B. Stephenson of Covington said the governing bodies of the areas involved in the airport had to agree to the installation of the lights before a grant from the FAA could be granted.

Today’s Headline: Covington Revco Drug Store Opens July 6.
Revco D.S. Inc. announced today the opening of a discount drugstore in Covington July 6 at the Aide’s Shopping Center on Craig Avenue.
The Craft Cottage Boutique, owned by Jennifer Mann, will hold a grand opening Tuesday in Covington on Maple Avenue in the former “Fawley House” next to Del. William T. Wilson’s Covington office.

Bonnie N. Johnson has been appointed to the position of county administrator in Bath County.
Bath County Board of Supervisors Chairman Richard Byrd announced the appointment this morning.
