Two persons were arrested Saturday night following an altercation at the Covington Moose Lodge.
Andy L. Craft, 21, of 802 N. Rockbridge Ave., Covington, and Billie Jo Craft, 29, of Route 687, are both charged with felony aggravated malicious wounding.
Lt. Col. Matt Bowser of the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the Moose Lodge on Route 60 at 10:32 p.m. Saturday.
The sheriff’s office had received a report that a fight was under way at the Moose Lodge involving several individuals.
Bowser said a 54-year old white male from Covington was seriously injured in the fight.
The man, whose name was not released by authorities this morning, was airlifted by LifeGuard 10 to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
The victim remained hospitalized this morning. Bowser declined to release specifics concerning the man’s injuries.
He was initially treated at the scene by members of the Dunlap Rescue Squad before being transported to a landing zone that was established for LifeGuard 10 at Mallow Mall.
Bowser said the two suspects are being held at the Alleghany Regional Jail in Covington without bond.
