WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – Mary Reva Pratt, 94, of White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 in the White Sulphur Springs Family Care Center after an extended illness.
Born August 29, 1915 in Alvon, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Harry and Listie Eads Turner.
Mrs. Pratt was a member of the Whatcoat United Methodist Church.
She was a Secret Service employee with 27 years service with the United States Government until her retirement.
Preceding her in death other than her parents was her husband, James Pratt and a nephew, Harry Turner.
Survivors include a sister; Norene Stocell and husband, Warner, and a brother, Carson W. Turner and wife Bertham, all of White Sulphur Springs; three nieces, and five great-nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the Whatcoat United Methodist Church, Route. 92, White Sulphur Springs, with the Rev. Gerald Roberts and the Rev. Lowell O’Dell officiating.
Burial will be in the Mapledale Cemetery, Route 92, White Sulphur Springs.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.
