CLIFTON FORGE – Ralph F. Jackson has been appointed to fill a vacant seat on Clifton Forge Town Council.
Jackson, a Covington attorney who resides in Clifton Forge, accepted the appointment Wednesday evening. Town council, in a called meeting Monday, decided to offer Jackson appointment to the vacant seat.
Jackson was one of five persons who applied for the vacant seat created by the resignation of James Helms from council last month. He will fill the remaining two years of Helms’ four-year term.
“I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve the people of Clifton Forge,” Jackson said this morning.
