CLIFTON FORGE — Ms. Marcia Antoinette Tingler-Oliver, 46, of Clifton Forge, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany.
Marcia was born Dec. 30, 1970, in Covington, a daughter of the late George Lewis Tingler and Wendy Grant Smith.
Marcia was employed by the Rockbridge-Lexington Health Department and the Serenity Salon.
She graduated from Alleghany County High School, Dabney S. Lancaster Community College and Liberty University.
She was an LPN, MSN, RN, CBC and PHN.
She was of the Presbyterian faith.
She is survived by her children, Blake and Blayne Oliver and Linden and Lexy Wills; grandson, Isaac James Oliver; two sisters, Georgette Helton and Tammy Carter; stepfather, Eric Lee; godfather, James Oliver; Billy Oliver, father of Blake and Blayne Oliver; Todd Wills, father of Linden and Lexy Wills; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Marcia loved her family with all of her heart and soul.
She loved being with children and doing everything humanly possible so they could be happy and loving children.
They were the love of her life.
Marcia excelled in everything she endeavored to accomplish.
She was outgoing and loved by all of her friends.
Her compassion for life was such a big part of Marcia.
She always made people feel better when she walked into a room.
She worked hard to make all things possible.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robin Bertram officiating.
Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be John Lawson, George Taylor, Jonathon Mayo, Joe Craft, Chad Bennett and Andrew Moore.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of donations to the Marcia Tingler-Oliver Fund, Highlands Community Bank, 307 Thacker Avenue, Covington, Va. 24426.
