CLIFTON FORGE, VA (VR) — Get ready for an evening of music with a little bit of soul, a little bit of R&B, a touch of pop and rock, and a whole lot of energy when TAE & The Neighborly take the stage at the Masonic Amphitheatre on Saturday, September 5, at 7:00 p.m. as part of the Summer Concert Series.
Hailing from Green Bay, Wisconsin, TAE & The Neighborly have created a sound that is as uplifting and engaging as it is musically rich. Led by the unforgettable vocals of TAE, the five-member group combines vibrant instrumentation with soulful melodies, catchy rhythms, and lyrics.
And the story behind the band is almost as fun as the music.
During the early days of the 2020 pandemic, the five musicians were neighbors, each living on a different floor of the same five-story building. A shared love of baking—and the frequent need to borrow a cup of sugar—eventually brought them together. Before long, their time together in the
kitchen turned into time together making music. What began as a group of neighbors became TAE & The Neighborly, and they have been writing, recording, and touring ever since.
The band released its debut full-length album, Self Help, in 2024. The album showcases TAE’s powerful and expressive voice alongside soulful arrangements and thoughtful lyrics. Their music can move effortlessly from the intimate, smoky feel of “Carry On” to the emotional intensity of “Let It Rain.”
TAE & The Neighborly have been busy taking their music to audiences across the country with appearances at festivals and venues throughout the United States. Their live performances are known for their energy, musicianship, and positive message.
