FAIRLEA, WV (VR)- Georgia native Gavin Adcock has quickly become one of country music’s fastest-rising stars, building a loyal following with his blend of outlaw country, Southern rock, and blue-collar storytelling. Raised on his family’s cattle farm in Watkinsville, Georgia, Adcock originally pursued football at Georgia Southern University before a knee injury in 2021 changed the outlook of his career. During his recovery, he began recording and releasing the songs he had been writing since high school and launched a music career that has since taken off in a big way.
Adcock’s biggest breakthrough came with the success of songs such as “A Cigarette,” “Deep End,” “Four Leaf Clover,” “Need To,” “Last One to Know” and “Ain’t No Cure,” and they helped him amass hundreds of millions of streams while earning a reputation for his high-energy live performances. His rapid rise has included signing with Warner Nashville, releasing multiple successful albums, and touring with some of country music’s biggest names, making him one of the genre’s most talked-about young artists.
Fans will have the opportunity to see Adcock perform live at the 2026 State Fair of West Virginia on Friday, Aug. 21, at 8 p.m. His concert is expected to be one of the fair’s marquee entertainment events, bringing his rowdy, crowd-pleasing show to Fairlea as part of this year’s concert lineup.
